Operations and Chartering work as one team, utilising modern technology and existing relationships with ship owners to ensure any logistical issue does not become a problem.
All chartered vessels on behalf of our clients are continually monitored, and we liaise with our client’s internal departments to ensure seamless operations as required.
Claims
Frequent delays at either the loading and/or discharging port can result in substantial demurrage claims, in additional to a multitude of potentially different claims (contamination/off-spec cargoes or bunkers, force-majeure, late arrivals, piracy etc).
Our knowledge of multiple charter party forms and experience in both claims and negotiation enable our clients to only pay what is due.
As well as negotiating vessel owner claims, we can assist in recovering claims from the cargo suppliers or receivers.
Most claims have a time bar element – It is crucial all claims are appropriately dealt with in a timely fashion.
Shipowners place an extremely high value in the prompt settlement of any claim, often involving the commercial teams to negotiate or accelerate the recovery of sums due.
